What’s missing in the church?part 2
In my previous post I listed some things missing in the church. In case you did not read part 1 of this post I will quickly review the first five things I listed. 1.The gospel 2.REPENTANCE 3. Holiness 4. Separation from the world 5. Pastors who speak the truth. For further explanation of these please go back and read part 1 of this post. Now we will move on with four more things missing from the church. This is not an exhaustive list but a list none the less.
The King James Bible- pastor Scott Ingram from omega Baptist church in white pine Tennessee said ” when churches switched to the modern versions morality started to decline in the church”. I do agree with this statement because the modern versions omit and change key doctrines in the word of God making it easy to have a loose attitude about the word of God. Aarons sons had a loose attitude about worship and God consumed them with a fiery death for it. With a little research as I have done you can easily come to the conclusion that the king James bible is the true word of God and the modern versions are perverse and heretical calling Jesus a liar, a sinner and someone in danger of judgement. Also most modern versions also attack the trinity by omitting 1 john 5:7 which is the strongest evidence for the trinity but was taken out by Wescott and Horts heretical Greek text. Scriptures to read: Psalm 12:6,7; Leviticus 10:1,2
Humility/teachable spirit- I have experienced this all over the internet when having discussions about doctrine and the gospel. People today are looking to get high on Jesus via experiences rather than bringing themselves low in humility to have a teachable spirit.Derek Prince once said “if you want to be high you must first bring yourself low” No matter how much scriptural evidence you share with this type of person they will always defer to their experiences rather than the word of God. We need to really pray for this type of person that the Holy Spirit will open their eyes to the truth. Scriptures to read: Psalm 25:9; Matthew 23:12; 1 Peter 5:5.
Biblically literate Christians- this is a real problem in the church today as Christians are content with reading a little devotional book with one bible verse at the top of the page. Devotions are not a bad thing but they do not take the place of strong bible reading. Devotions are a snack not the main course. I read at least a bible chapter or more each day and it literally takes about 10 or 15 minutes. If we don’t have that much time for God’s word then we should question how much we really love him? Derek Prince once said something that should convict every Christian. He said ” you only love God as much as you love his word”. JESUS describes himself as the word of God in John 1:1,2. This condition is not the fault of true pastors because they only feed the sheep once or twice a week. If a Christian is living this way they will be a weak and malnourished Christian. These type of Christians usually fall into religious deception. They leave traditional churches and flood into false churches like Hillsong, Elevation church and Bethel. If there are any true Christians in these churches they are stuck in perpetual infancy not like the Bereans who searched the word of God to see if what the apostle Paul was saying is true. If these Christians had any knowledge of doctrine They would not be drawn to these type of churches. So we need to pray for these baby Christians as well as the millions that are being led to Hell by these false churches. Scriptures to read: Hosea 4:6; 2 Timothy 2:15.
Christians who pray- bible reading and prayer is essential to the Christian who wants to grow in relationship to God. You can not do one without the other. If you pray and you feel like you have gotten your answer? You will not know if is the right answer unless you compare your answer with the word of God to see if they agree with one another? Otherwise the devil will appear as an angel of light and lead you astray. We must pray and read our bible and obey it to be in right relationship with God. Scriptures to read: 2 Chronicles 7:14.
In closing please read the scriptures I have provided in both posts about this subject as it will enrich your understanding of what I am writing about. Nothing I can say or explain can take the place of God’s word. So be like the Bereans and search the scriptures to see if there is truth to what I am saying. We need to pray for our PASTORS and leaders in our churches that they will not fear man and and stand for and speak biblical truth. We need to pray for our fellow believers that they will be lead by the word of God and the Holy Spirit. If you like these posts? Please share them. God bless you all. Scriptures to read: Acts 17:10,11.
What’s missing in the church? part 1
1 Timothy 4:1-2 KJVS
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
This is a list of what’s missing in today’s modern church. It is not an exhaustive list but a list none the less. I will give scripture to read so you can check to see if what I am saying is true so be like the Bereans and let’s get started.
THE GOSPEL- the requirement of REPENTANCE has been taken out and replaced with easy beleivism. This manifests itself by accepting Jesus into your heart or just believing in JESUS. The bible never tells us to accept JESUS into our hearts and warns us about just believing in God in James 2:19 where it says ” you believe in one God you do well but even the devils believe and tremble”. We must REPENT and trust alone in Jesus for salvation. We must transfer trust in our works to Jesus work on the cross. Scriptures to read- James 2:19; Romans chapter 1; Romans 6:1,2.
REPENTANCE- to REPENT means to turn away from your sins (TESHUVA). This is the second of two definitions of REPENTANCE this one being the Hebrew definition while METENIOA meaning to change ones mind in the Greek is the other definition. REPENTANCE has been taken away because false converts do not want to do what God requires for the reason that they like thier sin and do not want to change or preachers do not teach it so they do not know. Scriptures to read- John 3:19; Mark 1:15;Luke 13:3,5; Acts 20:20,21.
HOLINESS- holiness has been replaced by an over emphasis on grace or hyper grace. Some will say we don’t have to obey God’s commands or REPENT at all. But Gods word says that if we love him we will keep his commands (John 14:21). Also God’s word tells us to ” be ye holy as I am holy”(1 peter 1:16). These type of false converts have no fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22,23).It is possible by the power of the holy spirit to live a holy life. We will not always be lead by the spirit but when we are it is possible to live holy. This is apart of our sanctification process (Romans 15:16). Scriptures to read- John 14:21;1Peter 1:16; Romans 6:1,2&22; Romans 15:16; Galatians 5:22,23.
SEPARATION FROM THE WORLD- I am talking about churches with a night club atmosphere, men and women who do not dress modestly with their tattoos and piercings. Jesus has brought us out of the world, not to copy the world but to copy him. I am not condemning any one who had tats and piercings before they were saved but these sinful practices need to stop once you are saved. We must be sanctified , set apart from the world, made holy. Although we can not do this except by the power of God he does give us the responsibility to walk along side during the process. Scriptures to read- John 15:19; Philippians 2:12; James 4:4; 1 Timothy 2:9.
PASTORS WHO SPEAK TRUTH- there are 2 main reasons pastors will not speak truth. One is they have not been taught by their seminaries and mentors to speak truth. Two is they do not want to speak truth because it benefits them in some way. This is usually for a monetary reason or for fear of losing congregants. Many people will gravitate to these type of pastors because what they say satisfies a sinful persons flesh and itches their ears. PASTORS are called to protect the congregation not harm them so they will receive greater damnation when they introduce heresies either in the open or secretly.Scriptures to read-Luke 16:13; 2 Timothy 4:3;Jeremiah 23:1,2; 2 Peter 2:1.
Why the king James version?
Psalm 12:6-7 KJVS
The words of the Lord are PURE words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, PURIFIED seven times. [7] Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt PRESERVE them from this generation FOR EVER.
This is God’s promise that his words would be preserved forever 1700 years before the first modern bibles . The majority text ( over 5000 manuscripts) have been used for 1700 years by the Christian church to form the king James bible in 1611. The king James has only been revised once for spelling errors Where is there has been many revisions of the modern bibles because of their corrupt manuscripts ( the critical text that only a count for 2% of all manuscripts). That don’t even agree with one another. This is why there are so many revisions and so many versions of the modern bibles .
A little bit of background
Two men Westcott and Hort were the fathers of the modern bibles. These two men were cross dressers and ungodly men who didn’t believe in the deity of Christ and it showed by how they used the Alexandrian, vaticanus and sanaticus manuscripts to attack the deity of JESUS by adding verses that called JESUS liar, a sinner and someone who was in danger of judgement.. Here I will only share a few verses but there are many that are blasphemous verses in modern bibles. Like you I used to think there was no difference in versions until I did about 20 hours of research. So here is the first verse John 7:8. First I will show the proper verse from the king James and then I will explain what the modern version say.
John 7:8 KJV
Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up YET unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.
The ESV and other modern bibles call Jesus a liar saying ” I will NOT go to the feast” instead of “I will not YET go up to the feast” as it says in the KJV. Although the NKJV does not remove “not yet going” it says in their footnotes that the word “YET” was taken out by the critical text. This is not true because all of the Greek writings from the majority text say. “YET”
Here is an example in Luke 2:22 how the modern versions call Jesus a sinner.first the correct verse from the KJV
Luke 2:22 KJV
And when the days of HER purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;
Instead of “HER purification offering the ESV and other modern versions says “THEIR purification offering” implying that Jesus had to make an offering for his sins. The whole point of a purification offering was to cover the sin of bleeding and uncleanliness that comes with child birth. The fact that the modern versions include JESUS in the sacrifice is an attack on his deity. JESUS is not a sinner in need of a sacrifice
This one is from Matthew 5:22. First the King James version of this verse
Matthew 5:22 KJV
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother WITHOUT A CAUSE shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
The KJV says in Matthew 5:22 “whosoever is angry WITHOUT A CAUSE shall be in danger of judgment”. The MODERN VERSIONS say ” IF YOUR EVEN ANGRY WITH SOMEONE you are subject to judgement” by taking out the phrase without cause they are causing JESUS to be in danger of judgement in Mark 3:5 for being angry with the Pharisees for the hardness of their hearts about healing on the Sabbath and also for overturning the tables of the money changers in the temple.
Here is one verse in Isaiah 14:12. Again I will show the proper verse in the king James and then I will explain what the modern versions do with this verse.
Isaiah 14:12 KJV
How art thou fallen from heaven, O LUCIFER, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
The word LUCIFER was dropped in this verse IN THE MODERN VERSIONS and replaced with DAY STAR which is sinister and evil because JESUS is refered as the DAY STAR in Revelation 22:16 KJV. this is outright Evil. And who would benefit from this change? Satan himself!
I will show one more example in 2 Samuel 21:19. First I will show the king James version and then I will show what the modern versions do with this verse.
2 Samuel 21:19 KJV
And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, a Beth-lehemite, slew the BROTHER of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.
Instead of ” killed the brother of Goliath” as it says in the king James version, This verse in the NIV and ESV say that Elhanan killed Goliath. How silly! Everyone knows David killed Goliath
You see the modern versions of the bible you use effects proper doctrine. Would you rather have A bible that calls Jesus a liar? Or would you rather have the true words of God in the King James version? Remember the KJV was formed from the majority texts that comprise 95% of all manuscripts. Where is the critical texts used to form modern bibles comprise of only 2% of all manuscripts. So which bible would you rather have?p The one with the majority of manuscripts(over 5000) ? Or a modern bible formed from the critical text that has only 2% of all manuscripts? The modern versions call God a liar who is not able to PRESERVE his word as he promised in psalm 12:6,7
Suggestions for further research
These suggestions for further research are meant to be watched in order of how I list them.
1.This first resource should be your first and final stop as this video on YouTube- the errors in the new versions of the bible (why KJV only) by Robert Breaker totally exposes the modern versions for what they are, PERVERSIONS! But I will give you two more videos from different sources just to be fair. Believe me I wish I found this video first as I had done over 20 hours of research before I found it.
2. Defeated! KJV manuscript evidence vs modern bibles by REAL bible believers on YouTube
3. Bible Version Corruption Explained- king James vs.. By TEXAS LIBERTY ADVOCATE NETWORK also on YouTube. Yes I have read articles on this subject as well but these videos are quite captivating and will convince you that the King James version is the pure word of God.
Can you lose your salvation?
Luke 9:62 KJVS
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Hebrews 10:26 KJVS
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
The bible is very clear in these two verses that you can lose your salvation. The first verse in Luke talks about if we look back we are not fit for God’s kingdom. The second verse talks about willfully sinning against God means there is no more sacrifice for sins. That is a real blow to calvanists and those who practice hyper grace. God forbids us from sinning that grace may abound.
Romans 6:1-2 KJVS
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? [2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
1 John 1:9 KJV-If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This is a very comforting verse about how if we confess our sin, God will forgive us of our sins. But now we have to look at the truth of opposites . If it is true that if we confess our sins God will forgive us? Then the opposite must be true, that if we do not confess our sins, God will NOT forgive us. God lists many sins in which the people that do them will not enter the kingdom of heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9,10; Revelation 21:8). So if you are sinning and not confessing them to God? Then you are on a road that leads to Hell.
I don’t apologize for this stance for I am standing on the word of God which is spoken by Jesus, the author of Hebrews,Peter and John. repentance must be accompanied by faith and vice versa otherwise you have no SALVATION.
Hebrews 6:1 KJVS
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
And one final warning from Peter.
2 Peter 2:20-21 KJV-For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. [21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
Is Hell eternal?
I can’t believe I am doing this particular blog post because the subject of Hell should be agreed upon by ALL professing Christians. I love Facebook, it is an opportunity to speak with people around the world about a variety of subjects. But many times There are people peddling false doctrine either out of ignorance of the scriptures or because that person is a full blown heretic. Now before you call me unloving or harsh the bible says in Roman 16:17,18 to basically mark those who cause division and avoid them. And adding that their God is their belly and they deceive the simple. So I implore you if you have held this position because you were taught Hell is not eternal and have not read the scriptures yourself regarding this matter? I pray you take advantage of the information I am giving you in this blog.
Daniel 12:2 KJVS
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and EVERLASTING contempt.
Matthew 25:41,46 KJVS
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into EVERLASTING fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: [46] And these shall go away into EVERLASTING punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 KJVS
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: [9] Who shall be punished with EVERLASTING destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
Matthew 18:8 KJVS
Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into EVERLASTING fire.
Here I have given you four witnesses of scripture where Hell is described as EVERLASTING. For a full description of Hell let us read what Jesus taught about Hell in Mark 9:43-48 because I don’t want you to go there for holding on to this heresy. The doctrine of Hell is not up for debate it is set in stone by JESUS himself.
Mark 9:43-48 KJVS
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: [44] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. [45] And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: [46] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. [47] And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: [48] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
One final warning: don’t attack orthodox Christian doctrines like the trinity which you can read about on my facebook group page Solid Bible Teaching. Just use the search engine at the top of the page and type proof of the trinity. It is a good article. In the meantime I pray that all who attack orthodox Christian doctrine will REPENT of it and get right with GOD before its too late (Proverbs 18:21).
Proof of the Trinity
1 John 5:7 KJVS
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
There have been a lot of attacks on the trinity lately claiming it is not proven in the bible. While the word trinity is not in the bible It clearly points to the God hood of all three persons in the trinity. I will keep this short and sweet as this blog will be basically a brief bible study on the trinity. The trinity works together in approximately fifteen functions. Here I will only give two functions of the trinity. The trinity as God and the trinity as creator. If you would like to learn about the other thirteen functions of the trinity ? They are on page 312 of the book by Ray Comfort called ” the school of biblical evangelism 101 lessons”. This book can be purchased on Amazon. I highly recommend this resource. Ok so lets break out our bible and see for ourselves if the trinity is biblical or not?
The trinity- the father is called God (Philippians 1:2) Jesus is called God (John 1:1,14) the Holy spirit is called God (Acts 5:3,4) 1 John 5:7 KJVS-
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.(This is proof for the trinity as Jesus is also referred to as the word of God (John 1:1). The trinity creates. The father is creator (Genesis 1:1) Jesus is creator (John 1:3) The Holy Spirit is creator (Job 33:4). All three in the God head are creator (Genesis 1:26).
One final warning for trinity deniers. If you deny the trinity you are denying the deity of Jesus Christ and his perfect God hood. If you deny that the holy spirit is God you are teeter tottering in a dangerous place that could cost you eternity in Hell. Let me explain. Because the bible says that blasphemy against the holy spirit won’t be forgiven in this life or the next. It is the the only unforgivable sin that will deny you access to heaven. Matthew 12:31-32 KJVS
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. [32] And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
What does it mean to REPENT?
There is a lot of argument about what the word REPENT or REPENTANCE means. Does it mean merely to change your mind? Well in this hopefully short blog I will settle this argument once and for all. Most Christians on Facebook are certified Greek experts and often point to the Greek meaning of the word REPENTANCE. So lets look at that definition first.
The Greek term for REPENTANCE, METANOIA, denotes a CHANGE of MIND, a reorientation, a fundamental transformation of outlook, of man’s vision of the world and of himself, and a new way of loving others and God.
Even if the only meaning of REPENT is to CHANGE YOUR MIND? It would still require an action on your part to be a true change of mind. You can not change your mind without changing your actions. Example: say you change your mind about abortion from thinking it is a women’s choice to thinking it is murdering an unborn child. This will drastically change your actions when you go to the ballot box to vote because if you really changed your mind? You will not vote for the candidate in favor of abortion.
Still think to REPENT OR REPENTANCE means just to change your mind? Lets look at the Hebrew word and definition of REPENT or REPENTANCE.
What is the biblical Hebrew word for REPENT?
The Hebrew word we translate as ‘REPENTANCE’ is TESHUVA (תשובה, pronounced “teh-shoo-vah”). And TESHUVA is a lot more than a feeling of guilt or regret. In fact, it derives from the verb ‘TO RETURN’
You have to interpret the word REPENT or REPENTANCE in its proper context depending on what passage you are reading? In the old testament when it says God REPENTED it obviously does not mean God turned away from his sin but merely changed his mind. When Israel came under captivity because of their sins of disobedience, they were not set free just because they changed their mind. God required them to turn away from their sins or to RETURN TO GOD (TESHUVA). you can not return to God without turning away from your sins. Lets look at some examples from scriptures of turning away from your sins.
Mark 1:14-15 KJV
Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, [15] And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Its obvious Jesus is not saying change your mind when he says REPENT here because believing the gospel already requires a change of mind.
Hebrews 6:1 KJV
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of REPENTANCE from dead works, and of faith toward God,
That verse could be translated turning away from dead works and faith towards God as faith already takes a change of mind. God will not ask us to change our mind twice so REPENTANCE here definitely means to turn away from sin.
One argument I have heard against biblical REPENTANCE is that people who claim it is lordship salvation based upon works and not of grace as stated in Ephesians 2:8,9. But first of all REPENTANCE is not a work but a change of mind and actions. This does not affect grace because God is the one who gives us the grace to REPENT. We can not walk this salvation walk on our own as God is our partner in the sanctification process and then he is faithful to complete it. But that is a conversation for another time.
In my final point I will be a bit controversial depending on whether you believe you can lose your salvation or not? The final question you should have is, how often do I REPENT? Some people believe it is once at your decision to trust Christ for salvation, I will lay out why I think that is not true. The bible says that if we confess our sins he is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). But what happens if we don’t confess our sins? Its obvious that God will do the very opposite and not forgive us our sins or cleanse us from unrighteousness. This means if we don’t confess and turn away from our sins we are hypocrites and hell bound hypocrites at that. So we should REPENT as often as we sin. If you are still holding to God’s grace to bail you out then look what it says here in Romans chapter 6 in closing.
Romans 6:1-2 KJVS
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? [2] GOD FORBID!. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? (Exclamation added).
Deconstruction and the church
Faith deconstruction, also known as deconstructing faith, evangelical deconstruction,[1] the deconstruction movement, or simply deconstruction, is a phenomenon within American evangelicalism in which Christians rethink their faith and jettison previously held beliefs, sometimes to the point of no longer identifying as Christians. It is closely related to the exvangelical movement.[2]
The term can have a range of meanings. Alisa Childers defines deconstruction as “the process of systematically dissecting and often rejecting the beliefs you grew up with.”.
This last paragraph was taken from Wikipedia. In simple terms deconstruction or deconstructionism is a way of breaking down bible passages in a way that the only thing that is important is what that bible passage means to you instead of what is really important and that is what the author of the passage was saying. I believe that this is a tool from the devil to get Christians to rely on their intellect rather than relying on the holy spirit to guide them through the reading of the scriptures. I will share some scriptures on why this way of thinking is wrong.
2 Peter 2:1 KJVS
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
A heresy is a departure from the faith or sound Christian beliefs like God views homosexuality as a sin. I had a conversation with a person who was a proponent of deconstruction and he said he was “queer affirming”. When I asked him what that meant he said he did not think it was sinful to be gay or for gay people to be in a relationship with one another. This is an example of deconstruction and I have heard the arguments for homosexuality saying the bible is out dated and God is a God of love and would never punish people who were supposedly born this way. But the bible clearly states in the old testament and the new testament that it is a sin that leads to Hell.
If you are a proponent of deconstruction you can cherry pick what you like and don’t like about the bible and that is a damnable heresy that leads to Hell. When I pointed this out to the young man along with my concern for his soul he countered and said what I said to him was dehumanizing. I didn’t know what that word meant so I looked it up online.
dehumanizing
/dēˈ(h)yo͞oməˌnīziNG/
adjective
- depriving a person or group of positive human qualities.
The bible says there is nothing redeeming or positive about our human qualities.
Romans 3:12 KJVS
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
In closing instead of giving you what I think of the deconstruction movement let me let God speak for himself in these passages of Romans 1.
Romans 1:21-32 KJVS
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, [23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. [24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: [25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. [26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: [27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. [28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; [29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, [30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: [32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Women pastors?
1 Timothy 2:11-14 KJV
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. [12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. [13] For Adam was first formed, then Eve. [14] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
There is a lot of debate in church circles about if women can be pastors? Although there should not be because the word of God in this passage clearly says No! The passage even gives the reasons why women can not be in this role 1. Adam was formed before Eve 2. Eve was deceived and Adam was not.
That should be the end of the debate but for people who are in favor of women pastors it is not. Let me share with you some common arguments in favor of women pastors and then I will explain why they are incorrect. Deborah was a judge and prophetess over Israel. This is a bad example because the only reason Deborah was a judge was because Israel was corrupt. So God gave them over to their own corruption by giving them a women judge. The judges are also a bad example because all of them failed Israel miserably.
The other argument I hear is the the Samaritan women at the well who went and told everyone in her village about Jesus. Well isn’t that like a pastor? No! She was actually proclaiming Jesus to unbelievers which the bible commands all believers to do. Women are not restricted from sharing the gospel they just can’t be pastors.
Another argument I hear is the bible says women will see visions and prophecy does that mean they will speak in the church? In my opinion I don’t think so. There are some that will disagree with me on this but there are other places besides the church to share visions and prophecies like a home bible study or women’s group. But these visions and prophecies must be in line with the word of God or they are false.
The last one I can think of and I am not saying these are the only arguments for women pastors is what about the women that were involved in the apostle Paul’s ministry? This argument is a mystery to me and probably the weakest argument because nowhere in scripture does it say a women preached to and taught men. Women had a vital and important role as helpers to Paul’s ministry but none of them taught men or fulfilled a role as pastor. One last scripture passage to seal the deal and you will know that even when popular church movements endorse women pastors you will know this is not possible.
1 Timothy 3:1-2 KJV
This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. [2] A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
In closing the final reason a women can not be pastor is a pastor must be the husband of one wife. That is impossible for a women to achieve at least biblically. So if you are in favor of women pastors I hope this will make you see the error of your ways and repent. God has his order of things and he doesn’t need us narrow minded sinners correcting his perfect will.
